Memoirs of a King
In these darkened hours its so hard to see the light
But you cant stop me; Im going to win this fight
And every punch that you swing theres one flying back
It wont be me this time around to let you knife my back
The kings have laid down their arms and said,
My dear boy, soon you will be dead.
And yes the spiders crawl, and yes I am afraid
It wont be me this time around to turn this heart to spade
I open my eyes in my new abandoned home
The feeling of emptiness started to roam
The Death Watchers laugh and smirk in the wall
But it wont be me this time around to follow and crawl
Im eating everyday; cereal made of teeth
As I gaze at the lords body, wrapped up in its wreath
And suddenly I arise, from beneath all of the lies
But it wont be me this time around to succumb to those eyes
I gave you my body and I gave you my blood
Youve created such tears that Ive drowned in its flood
I promise youre missing out, and I promise youll never see
That it wont be me this time around to sit and let you kill me
I promise Im just as good as I promised Id never be
And I promise you that this time around, youll be the one missing me
